Cindy Hernandez is Chief Strategist at Ilumas, Inc., a brand specialty firm focused on helping companies recognize and resolve customer experience (CX) issues that impede company growth. Since most firms moving forward will be competing solely on customer experience, Cindy developed a unique 10-point CX checklist to help companies determine if this is an area that they need to address.

Before devoting her full-time work to Ilumas, Cindy was Vice President of Marketing for national recruiting firm StevenDouglas, listed for 5 consecutive years as an Inc. 5000 Fastest Growing Company, where she was part of the management team that boosted the company’s revenue 85% and orchestrated a full company rebranding to help ensure future growth. Her focus was on driving a more effective customer experience through the company’s website, and the social media enablement of marketing, sales and customer care processes.

Prior to her years in the recruiting industry, Cindy was a marketing consultant for startups, non-profits and multinational companies where she developed marketing campaigns, created marketing communications, established cross-selling processes, managed large company events and fundraisers, and implemented strategies to attract and retain members and donors. During this time, Cindy was also recruited to the role of Managing Director for an international search firm, as part of a strategic alliance to cross-market services between offices in five countries. She successfully marketed a variety of search and staffing services across the western hemisphere, bringing alliance partners a 120% return on their investment.

Cindy has always been focused on the customer and how to improve the processes that affecMSM 2017(2)t their experience. She has demonstrated the ability to help organizations across multiple industries develop multi-channel customer experience strategies, re-align and re-design their customer-facing business processes and improve their operational management processes. To stay current, Cindy is truly passionate about continuous learning and, as a result, has obtained certifications in Google AdWords, Google Analytics, Google Video Advertising, Content Marketing, Email Marketing, Salesforce and is a Certified Hootsuite Professional. In the spirit of continued education, she is currently working towards completing her Facebook Blueprint and Inbound Marketing certifications.

Cindy recently added two important accomplishments to her list – an M.B.A. and a Master’s of Science in Marketing from Florida International University. Through these programs, she developed new capabilities in the areas of competitive strategy, marketing analytics, branding and digital marketing.
